School Office

Our School Office Staff are here to help you, however here are a few items that may be useful to parents and carers which you can view or download from our website.

Our School Day

Here is a breakdown of our school day:

Children should arrive for 08:50am when a teacher will be on duty for Y2/3/4/5/6 in the KS2 yard and the EYFS teacher will be in class for EYFS/Y1.

Lunch 12:00 – 01:30pm for EYFS/Y1 and 12:00 – 01:oopm for Y2 to Y6

Parents/carers/guardians should be at the main gate for no later than 03:30pm.

Absence and Lateness

Registration starts at 09:00am and ends at 09:10am.

All children arriving between 09:10 – 09:30am will be marked as late. If a child arrives in school later than 09:30am they are marked as an unauthorised absence; a parent/carer/guardian most drop the child off at the main entrance and explain why the child is late.  All lateness and unauthorised absence are passed over to the educational welfare office (EWO) who will take the matter further.

What to do if your child feels ill

If your child wakes up and feels ill then could you please let school know before 09:00am that morning; it is also a good idea to let us know how long you feel they might b absent from school when you call. We have a message service during the busy morning sessions.

If your child has diarrhoea and sickness then we ask you to keep them off school for at least 48 hours from the last bout. If your child has a contagious infection e.g. chicken pox, they must be kept off school whilst they are infectious. If you are unsure you can contact us or your doctor.

Appointments

If your child has a doctor or dentist appointment then we must be told in advance; we do realise this might not be possible with a doctor’s appointments from time to time, and when they will be arriving at school that day. If they need to be picked up within the school day to attend an appointment the teacher must be told in advance.

In either case you must not go into the private areas of the school; beyond the main entrance , when school has started. this is to ensure the children and yourself are safeguarded.
